I hear these kinds of stories often where women (and men) are taken by surprise by an unexpected event. Can you imagine? Half her income disappeared - poof! Just like that! This week a good friend, an ER doctor, called to tell me she had been given 3 days notice that her hours will be cut by 50%. But, we all know it can happen, and when it does you want to have a solid foundation so you don’t spin into panic mode. You don’t typically expect to lose your job, get a diagnosis or decide to make a BIG #change. #womenempowerment #healthybalance #burnout #stress #womeninleadership #womenleaders #timefreedom > Thur 5pm PT/7pm CT and Sat 9am PT/11am CT. Join me, Nyla Marson, SPHR, former VP HR, and Jane Read, former VP Operations of a major hospital, for real stories about how we kept our options open and have the freedom to live life on our terms. If something unexpected happens, it's important that you have the #financialresources, #community and #purpose you need to get through it.Ĭurious how you can keep your options open and create more freedom to be able to CHOOSE what serves you best? YOU are in control of your circumstances. #health #healthybalance #wholeness #wholewoman #wholewomansway #boundaries #healthylifestyle #prevention #healthiswealthīeing a #wholewoman includes having options > having the freedom to make choices and knowing that no-one, or company, controls YOU. It also means you make YOUR #health and #wellbeing your #1 priority because you choose to set #boundaries and have the freedom to say "NO!" Which of these is your biggest challenge? Which will you (re)commit to this week? Drop your comment below. ➡️ Set boundaries on your time (turn off email and text after 6pm)

➡️ Schedule non-negotiable time for renewal ➡️ Eat 9-13 servings of fresh fruit and veggies including the rainbow of colors ➡️ Drink more water (at least half your body weight in ounces) Today, let's recommit (again) to caring for our health : It's either protecting you or putting you at risk.ĭo you ever find yourself ignoring the pain? Convincing yourself that extra soda, candy or cake won't harm you? Popping a few extra allergy tabs or ibuprofen to mask a lingering issue? Nothing! Every day, every choice you make is either strengthening or weakening your body, mind and spirit. It's a reminder that nothing is more important than your health. That's exactly what happened to a friend of mine this week. We look back and ask, "what else could I have done to protect my health?" No-one expects or wants to get a diagnosis.
